Fast Food ist zwar nicht gesund, dafür aber preiswert und schnell zubereitet. Fast Kunst leiht sich diese positiven Eigenschaften. Die Künstler Paul Lipp und Reto Leuthold bieten schnelle Malerei zu Spottpreisen.

Die beiden ziehen als fahrende Imbissbudenbesitzer durch die Schweiz und das nähere Ausland. Ob Poulet mit Pommes, Hot Dog Royal oder Pizza Hawaii: In 15 Minuten malen Lipp&Leuthold das gewünschte Menü in Öl auf Holz. Malfrisch wird das Werk in Aluminiumfolie verpackt und kann sogleich zu Hause an die Wand gehängt werden. Neu lässt sich die schnelle Kunst sogar per Online-Bestellservice nach Hause liefern. Und in Sachen Umweltproblematik ist Fast Kunst seiner Inspirationsquelle um Längen voraus: Abfall gibt es bei diesem Schnellimbis keinen.

MASTERPIECES

Original artwork in the time it takes to order a kebab. Artists Paul Lipp and Reto Leuthold, based in Lucerne, are taking their Fast Food Art zo the masses in a mobile grill van. Lipp and Leuthold paint your takeaxay chice in oil on canvas while you wait, then wrap it in aluminium foil for you to take home. Customers can take their pick of the usual guilty pleasures (chicken and chips, fries, hot dogs and kebabs, to name but a few) and each painting is priced depending on your menue choice.
With a time limit of 15 minutes per piece, don‘t expect a Michelangelo (Lipp and Leuthold suggest their pictures are ‘nearly art‘). But a unique piece for between CHF 6 and 16 is a steal for most – and let‘s face it, for once your favourite takeaway dish won‘t have you reaching for the Alka Seltzer in the Morning.
